Concert in the Boxcar ~ Sunnyland Jazz Band

.          Join us for an afternoon of Traditional American Jazz from our Boxcar #759

.          When we speak of the heyday of railroads on Long Island, we focus on the mid 1800’s through the mid 1900’s.  Times of great growth and wealth in our Country and times of great sadness, financial depressions and World Wars.  One element that ties these events together is America’s music.  The sounds of the brass band, jazz ensembles and the rootin’ tootin’ harmonies of the singers.  “Sunnyland Jazz” relives the wealth of musical events of the times with banjo, trombone and tuba!

.          Join us for “A Concert in the Boxcar” at Greenport RMLI on Sunday, June 15, 2025 at 2:00 PM.  Bob Barta and “Sunnyland Jazz” will offer us traditional American jazz.

.          The “Boxcar Concert Series” at RMLI Greenport is generously supported by a financial grant from our Suffolk County First District Legislator, Ms. Catherine L. Stark with administration from the Suffolk County Department of Economic Development and Planning.   The “Boxcar Concert Series” is recognized as a New York State “Path Through History” event.
